Podiatrists care for the foot health of individuals who have trouble cutting nails, pain from corns or calluses, ingrown toenails or verrucae. Mechanical abnormalities, ulcers and the assessment of critical factors such as sensation and quality of blood flow also form part of our daily activities. Patients are assessed by their lifestyle, footwear, foot shape, medical history, age, social / work activities and presenting complaint(s). The causes of problems, treatments and likely outcomes are discussed and a treatment plan formulated.
